Since Google Announced the end of Google Cloud Print Support earlier this year, you’ve written hundreds of emails, comments and support requests expressing your concerns. Over the last several months, our team has explored dozens of options to replace the vast printer support provided by the Cloud Print infrastructure of Google. Not an easy infrastructure to replicate as you could imagine. 

We’re proud to say, the next evolution of “Order Receipt Print for WooCommerce Google Cloud Print” is the way! The replacement solution Order Print for WooCommerce will be powered by our own Cloud Printing Service, BizPrint. 

Our BizPrint, Cloud Printing Service will offer the same cloud based solution you have used previously with Google Cloud Print. You will be able to connect printers from all over the world. We wanted businesses of all types to be able to have access to important printed documents. This is a great option for warehouses, restaurants, retail stores, and fulfillment stations.

Will the solution be ready before the shutdown of Google Cloud Print on December 31, 2020?

Yes, we are working hard to have a seamless transition from Google Cloud Print service to our BizPrint service prior to the shutdown.

When can I start using the new service and switch from Google Cloud Print?

We understand as a user you want to start using the new solution now to test and try before the shutdown, we are planning early beta testers joining in early December and full rollout by late December.

What if I can't wait until December?

Trust me, if we could provide access sooner we would. We understand if this timeline is not acceptable to you and you need a solution now. If so, you may need to evaluate alternatives and different plugins or printing services. However, if you decide to use another solution, we hope you will return and evaluate our solution once it’s live. We promise the new solution will not disappoint and provide the same great experience you have had using our current plugin.

Why are you not integrating or supporting another print Service, like PrintNode, PaperCut, etc.

We spent several months earlier this year evaluating the other available solutions. During this phase, we uncovered various limitations to the alternative print products often limited by partner integration functionality. Due to these reasons and surprise of Google Cloud Print shutting down we have made the decision to create our own service that we can manage, develop and own in full. This will ensure you will not encounter another disruption in the future. If a partner we did integrate with changed their product solution, pricing or shutdown, we would be in a similar scenarios all over again. We have heard many users want alternatives. After our version 1 release of the BizPrint Cloud Printing service, we will be evaluating and looking to provide alternative services as part of the Order Print plugin.

What if I don't want to use BizPrint Cloud Printing Service and want an alternative like PrintNode, PaperCut, etc.

If you don’t want to use our new BizPrint Cloud Printing Service, we understand, but at this initial re-launch to replace Google Cloud Print we will not be supporting any other print services. If this is your business requirement, unfortunately we’d hate to lose you as a user, but you will need to find an alternative. Hopefully in the future, we can provide alternate services as well.

Will the BizPrint Cloud Print service be Free?

Yes, we will offer a Free plan for the service, but this will include limits, for example number of print jobs, number of locations and number of domains. You will have the ability to upgrade your plan for allowing more print jobs, print locations and domains. We wish we could provide a Free print service, like Google provided, but we can’t provide a completely free service and still provide a quality product and service. We are working hard to keep our pricing lower than the alternative print systems available. We understand cost and pricing are important and want to continue to provide affordable solutions across all our products and services.

What platforms will be supported?

We plan on support Windows, MacOS and Raspberry Pi OS using a downloaded app. We will be evaluating and adding other OS platforms in the future.

Will my Cloud Print ready printer work with BizPrint Cloud Print Service?

We are working hard to provide support for many Printer Models and Types at launch. Similar to Google Cloud Print Service, if the Printer Model can be connected to your Platform Windows, MacOS and Raspberry PI OS, the Printer Model should be supported. If you have a Printer Model not supported, open up a support ticket and we will evaluate the Printer Model and potential support.

Will the current Order Receipt Print and Paid Add-ons Plugins Work?

None of the currently released versions of the software designed for GCP will work, but there is good news! Once the service is ready, we will post a new updated version of Order Receipt Print plugin to WordPress.org under the new product name Order Print for WooCommerce. If you are a user of that plugin, you will get notified of the upgrade in WordPress.org. Unfortunately, any purchased add-ons for the GCP service will not work after December 2020 as outlined in the original purchase terms of support. If you need to continue using those add-ons, with the new release of Order Print all of the core functionality will be available to purchase with newly developed paid add-ons for BizPrint. These plugins will need to be purchased from our website. To celebrate the launch of the new BizPrint, Cloud Print Service, we do plan to offer discounts for the new add-ons developed for BizPrint. Keep an eye out in our newsletters and promotions on our website.

Will Order Print and BizPrint Cloud Print Service work with the BizSwoop POS?

Yes, the Order Print plugin and BizPrint Cloud Print Service will work with the BizSwoop Point of Sale app for cloud based printing solutions.

Will checkout performance be improved with BizPrint Cloud Print Service

Yes! Many users reported when multiple printer locations are configured the checkout load performance was impacted and slower to process the order. The latency was due to the Google Cloud Print system. Now that we are switching to BizPrint Cloud Print System, you will notice a faster performance on the checkout process. We have worked hard to optimize the speed to not impact the customer experience even with multiple printer locations configured.

How do I sign-up or create an account for the BizPrint Cloud Print Service?

Once we are accepting new users to the BizPrint Cloud Print platform, we will provide an account sign-up page. The new Order Print plugin will include an account sign-up process for new users to create an account and setup the service.

Can I join the Beta?
