Introduction

To get started with the Point of Sale, you first have to decide which version of the plugin you would like to use for your configuration:

  • Cloud Version: The Point of Sale is hosted by BizSwoop, Point of Sale at https://pos.bizswoop.app. Using the Point of Sale connector plugin, you can quickly and easily authorize your website to connect to the Point of Sale cloud. Once the connection is authorized, you can access the POS stations directly from the WordPress admin, from the Cloud dashboard, or by visiting the Station URL directly from the browser or BizSwoop app. 
  • Self-hosted Version: The Point of Sale is hosted on your website fully and your server running the WooCommerce WordPress site. 

Setting up Cloud Version Point of Sale

Let’s get started to setting up the Point of Sale with the BizSwoop cloud. 

  • Install the Point of Sale WP API connector plugin. Go to WordPress Admin, select Plugins, upload plugin. Install and activate the plugin.
  • Now go to https://pos.bizswoop.com. If you have not already created a BizSwoop account, create one at https://login.bizswoop.com. After creating an account sign in to your account. 
  • Click or select the Plus button of Applications.
  • Clicking the Plus button, Create a new Application
  • For Name field: Create a custom name to identify your website
  • For URL/Domain: Enter the URL for your website running the Point of Sale connector plugin. 
  • Select Create
  • Create Authorize
  • You will see the authorization dialog window requesting permission to connect the POS Cloud to your website.
  • Once authorized, you can start using the Point of Sale with your website.
  • Go to Stations, Click on your website. Select View POS on the Station you would like to start using. 

Setting up Self-hosted Version Point of Sale

Let’s get started to setting up the Point of Sale on your site. 

  • Install the Point of Sale WP API connector plugin. Go to WordPress Admin, select Plugins, upload plugin. Install and activate the plugin.
  • After the Point of Sale WP API connector plugin is activated. Install the Point of Sale WP UI Self-hosted plugin. Go to WordPress Admin, select Plugins, upload plugin. Install and activate the plugin.
  • Now go to POS > Settings > Connection.
  • Select the Self-hosted option for the connection
  • Input the Self-Hosted Server License license key to activate
  • Once the license is verified, you can start using the Point of Sale with your website.
  • Go to Stations, Click on View POS on the Station you would like to start using.
